On 3 July 2026, our university entered a new phase of its development under the new management that will guide it during the 2026 – 2030 term. The post of rector was taken by Branislav Hadzima, who, in turn, introduced the team of his vice-rectors – experienced professionals ready to work together and embody the vision of a modern, open, and dynamically developing university. The position of the first vice-rector and vice-rector for education is held by Vladimír Konečný, the sphere of science and research is under the guidance of Róbert Hudec, international relations and marketing under Katarína Hollá, the person responsible for university development is Štefan Šedivý, and the field of information systems remains under the management of Michal Koháni.
We wish the new management every success, lots of energy, and wise decisions as they work to fulfil their vision for further development of the University of Žilina.
